It all started with Nuvei Cariana, Asari Spectre, and Matriarch for her people. Throughout her life, Nuvei, was well respected but by the end of her days she would be known as only one thing, a traitor.
After the birth of her only daughter, she committed herself fully to the council, becoming a full-time Spectre and spending most of her time in Terminus space. Befriending a young and ambitious Turian named Caius Tiberius, who joined her on her trips in hopes of making a name for himself. Upon such a trip, the two came upon a seemingly unimportant moon, and found a large Prothean building. Inside this building was a plethora of artifacts, that would make any species jump in technology and surely obtain notoriety.
However these artifacts never made it into Alliance's hands, nor was their presence made aware to them until it was too late. Caius saw this ancient treasure trove as an opportunity, his opportunity. The value of these artifacts was easily a fortune and also a key to realize Caius' immense ambitions. The pieces were set but Nuvei's game, unbeknownst to her, had already been played. It was only until she was being dragged away by a small army of Alliance soldiers that she realized what had actually transpired behind her back, in the shadows. Only until she stood trail did she see how Caius' intricate web of lies had entangled her, trapped within it as it pulled her down. Despite her best efforts she could do nothing but sink along with it. Caius had brought forth such carefully planned words and fabricated evidence that the power of Nuvei's words, the word of a Spectre, would not even suffice. His trickery and greed had sealed her fate before she even had a chance to realize what had befallen her.
And so Nuvei was cast before the judgment of Hanar judge Aotus, her fate decided by the malicious hands of her former comrade, her verdict served on a silver plate by him. Charged and imprisoned for a crime she didn't commit, the attempted sale of a Prothean artifact. Forced to live out her every waking moment in an Alliance maximum security penal facility, until her last breath escaped her body. After many years of proclaiming her innocence and the grip of a steady decline in health and growing disease taking hold on her, taking it's time to choke the life out of every single fiber of her being, she passed away in the prison that become her coffin until death released her.
With Nuvei gone and the issue settled, it appeared like the incident was slipping into obscurity. However to one person the fate of Nuvei still weighed heavily on her soul. Nuvei's sole daughter, Jadis Cariana, was left behind to mourn her mother's passing. Knowing that her mother pleaded her innocence to her dying day, she would honor her passing by proving it.
Within little time her hitlist had grown to three: Caius Tiberius, now a general with a well known reputation and impressive reach within the Alliance military. Penrod Maur,
-Nuvei framed; dead
-Volus Banker Penrod Maur, bought and sold artifacts and became most wealthy banker in citadel space, controls vasts fortunes.
-Aotus Hanar judge, made sure Nuvei went to prison to hide evidence of connections between Collectors and Protheans. Hanar hide for reasons to protect his people, Enkindlers etc. Now prominent judge.
-Caius Tiberius, framed Nuvei, sold Prothean artifacts to Penrod Maur for profits, blackmailed Aotus for help in getting rid of Nuvei. Ambitious military Turian, now General (or other high-ranking) Caius Tiberius, seemingly respected General in the Turian military.
Charged and imprisoned for a crime she didn't commit, the attempted sale of a Prothean artifact.
Sadly, she died in a prison after many years of proclaiming her innocence.
To be continued.... these are notes for me to finish this. Not complete just basic notes. (Jadis)#nosignature#
